Royals Didn't Royal Last Night... As much

The Royals actually looked like a major-league team last night... Well sort of. For starters, Jeremy Guthrie pitched a solid game. Our offense was back though. Our defense was just awful.

Jeremy Guthrie was very good last night. His only "mistake inning" was the 2nd. Guthrie threw 7.0 innings while only allowing 1 earned run.

The Royals offense we all know and hate showed up again last night. Granted, Quintana has always given us fits, but good Lord.... I'm sick of watching the Royals offense go up to the plate and look completely desperate. It's pathetic. We had the bases loaded twice. We scored a total of 3 runs last night. I don't even think this is a major league offense we have.

Our so called "defensive replacement" Pedro Ciriaco... Well he's not one. He is absolutely terrible at turning double plays. It wasn't an error, but there was a particularly bad throw in the 2nd which led to the White Sox first, and only run.

If not for Guthrie, the Royals would've lost last night. So thank you Jeremy Guthrie for not Royaling last night. It is much appreciated.
