One Man's Trash Is Apparently Not Another Man's Treasure

Published by Sarah Davis

One man's trash is apparently not another man's treasure. That's three, count 'em three players on the Royals 25-man roster last year that have now been cut from their respective teams. Chris Getz, Jeff Francouer, and Jamey Carrol, all of which were deadweights for us last year.

Thankfully, now I don't have to see Chris Getz's face anymore. I don't blame the Blue Jays for cutting him. Who wants a middle infielder with the fielding ability of a potato?

I do feel bad for Frenchy though. The dude could flat out throw a baseball. Offensively, he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn if he were standing in it. He's a good guy, and I hope he lands on his feet.

Jamey Carrol is kind of just... Blah. I don't really know too much about him to care. Last year, he earned his 1000th major league hit with KC, and failed to record another one. He totaled 6 hits during the two months he had with the team. If he can't make a team as a backup middle infielder, he's out of luck.

There you have it. Three players that were on the 25-man roster have now been cut by other Major league teams. Good job, Dayton. Keep up the great work.
